Knowlan’s Super Markets has been committed to supporting local farmers and food producers for more than 100 years. The SUPERVALU Foundation provides program-specific and general operating support for organizations in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area.

“We are thrilled to be recognized with the SUPERVALU Foundation award for our ongoing dedication to Minnesota food producers,” said Knowlan’s Owner, President, and CEO Lauri Youngquist. “Since the beginning, our mission has always been to offer our customers the freshest selection of local produce.”

Knowlan’s has requested that Second Harvest Heartland, the Twin Cities’ Feeding America affiliate, receive the SUPERVALU Foundation grant.

“We congratulate Knowlan’s on this well-deserved recognition,” said Bill Chew, President of SUPERVALU’s West Wholesale Region. “Supporting Minnesota food producers is a top priority for SUPERVALU and Knowlan’s is a great example of a company that supports the local food community.”
