Feasts for the 4th!
Grab those groceries and sparklers and get ready to celebrate this holiday weekend! Fire up that grill and give our new Honey Lime Chipotle Chicken Sandwich a try, this chicken would be spectacular on a salad as well. It has a lovely smoky flavor with a kick from the chipotle. Red, White and Burgers
Any good American holiday, like the Fourth of July revolves around food and our favorite on the center of the plate for summer is the burger! First up is a trifecta of flavors with our Black Angus Premium Choice ground beef, Tickler Cheddar cheese and our own Festival Foods smokehouse bacon. We call it the Tickler Bacon Burger, easy to prepare but mouth-watering, big flavor. and the Oscar goes to…you for the food
Well we might not be invited but there’s no reason we can’t have our own fabulous “Governor’s Ball”. The menu by Wolfgang Puck for the 2013 Governor’s Ball is somewhat intimidating but there is no reason we can’t whip up some pretty fine fare in our own homes to watch the Academy Awards in fine-tasting style with friends. Rather than their shrimp fritters for an appetizer try our recipe for Beer-Battered Coconut Shrimp with a lovely light batter. These Italian Sliders would really spice up the evening and make quite an impression, made with our very own fresh Italian sausage -made right in the store. With Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans we thought a Muffuletta Sandwich might be on your menu. This recipe for Muffuletta sandwich with Olive salad is a hearty sandwich with lots of tradition, our recipe is for individual Mufulletta sandwiches but if you wish you can use a round loaf of bread and make one large sandwich and cut into servings.
